400D Shipping Update!

Posted by Arvin Santiago on

As one of the backers for our 400D campaign, we know that you’re excited to finally get a chance to shoot our newest film. And believe us, we’re excited as well! We wanted to take the time to update you on the status of our early bird shipping, as that is the first big step in our fulfillment process. Our goal was to start fulfilling our early bird orders in April, and even though the film was finished being made like we had planned, an unforeseen transportation delay in the shipment of our initial batch of 400D due to COVID made it so we were not able to hit our shipping goal.

We’ve been waiting on pins and needles for our film to arrive so we can begin our fulfillment as soon as possible, and thankfully after patiently waiting, our 35mm film has finally arrived! Yes, you read that right. Our initial batch of 400D 35mm has arrived at our warehouse and we have begun the fulfillment process to get these rolls to 35mm early bird backers as soon as possible.

We have almost 5,000 early bird orders to begin processing, and we’re working as fast as we can to get them all fulfilled, so if you're one of the early bird backers and haven’t received a shipping confirmation yet, don’t worry, you’ll receive one soon! If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation for your Early Bird 400D 35mm order in the next 14 days, reach out to us at support@cinestillfilm.com. [PLEASE NOTE: any early bird order paired with additional items that have not arrived yet / are out of stock will not ship until all the items in the order are in stock]

400D 120 is still currently in the process of being transported to our warehouse as it took longer to get finished than the 35mm. If you backed this early bird tier, we expect you'll receive an email with shipping notifications in the next 2 weeks, but if it takes longer to arrive than we expected, we will send out an additional update!

If you backed one of our CineStill Film Maker tiers, we sent out an email last week welcoming you to our CineStill Film Maker program and how you can start using your benefits. If you happened to miss that email, we’ve recapped the instructions on how you can create and login into your Film Maker account down below.

To access your CineStill Film Maker benefits, you'll need to first create an account on our Film Maker page. When signing up, please use the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS you used when you backed a Film Maker Tier (any individual tier $30 or higher included access to exclusive Film Maker benefits). If you already have a CineStill account and used it to back our 400D campaign, you will not need to create another account. Your discount will automatically be added when you are logged in. You'll need to always be logged in to your Film Maker account in order to receive the benefits. Also, be on the lookout for special Film Maker emails from us in the near future.

Once again, we raise our glasses and say THANK YOU to everyone that helped to make 400D a reality. We are excited for you all to receive the film and we can’t wait to see what you create with it! Remember to tag us and use the hashtag #CineStill400D so we can see the photographs you create with your film!
