In December 2023, Harman Photo announced the launch of HARMAN Phoenix 200, the first ever color film made entirely at the Harman factory in Mobberley, UK. Since then, they’ve made new film stocks, but the demand for the original Phoenix emulsion has continued. For that reason, Harman Photo has now tweaked the formulation and adjusted the speed of the OG Phoenix stock to reflect how the community like to shoot it, while also trying to retain the same characteristics as the original.
HARMAN Phoenix 125 is an experimental ISO 125 color negative film with high contrast and strong visible grain. It can be used for any photographic subject, but best results are generally obtained outdoors with consistent light and medium brightness scenes while metering for the mid-tones.
