Product Details

ADOX was founded in 1860 as the world's first photochemical factory. Over the next several decades, it became one of the leading film producers in Europe. Today, ADOX films, papers, and chemistry are proudly manufactured in Germany by an incredibly passionate team of film photography enthusiasts.

ADOX Adostop ECO Stop Bath is an eco-friendly, general-purpose stop bath intended for all B&W photo materials (film, RC, or Fiber-base paper) in trays, developing tanks, or processing machines. It features an indicator dye that turns the color of the chemistry from yellow to green/blue when the chemistry is no longer able to halt development.

A chemical Stop Bath is used in between the developer and fixer steps of the traditional B&W film/paper process. It immediately halts the action of the developer and saves the fixer from early exhaustion/sudden death.

Available in a both powder and liquid concentrate forms, as well as different volumes of concentrate. For liquid concentrate variants, the concentrate is measured out and diluted with water at a 1:19 dilution ratio to make the working-strength solution at the volume needed for the user's application. The yield per liter of working strength solution is approximately 20 rolls of film. Shelf life of liquid concentrate variants is about 2 years.

Powder concentrate variants feature ADOX's CAPTURA Dust Binding Technology, which vastly decreases the amount of dust and odor produced while mixing. The powder concentrate variant is not to be diluted any further; users are to mix it with water to make a total volume of 1000mL. Yield for this solution is approximately 20 rolls of film. Shelf life of unopened powder concentrate is about five years.
