CineStill D96 Dev Chart

D96 is a low-contrast motion picture film developer. Development to a recommended gamma of 0.65 to 0.70 takes 5-8 minutes for most films exposed at their native ISO. Contrast can be controlled by shortening development times, and increasing the development time will result in added contrast. With reuse the developer exhausts and will show a fall in contrast, which can be compensated for by adding +20 seconds per roll previously processed in 1 liter of reusable stock solution. For further reduced contrast use 1+1 single-use dilution just like any one shot developer.

Processing times may differ from the ones shown in the tables because of processing variables such as solution pouring speed, degree of solution agitation, amount of solution contamination, etc. The exact exposure index depends on the prevailing shooting and processing conditions. Metering methods, shooting conditions, planned artistic effects and deliberate processing changes are to be taken into account when rating exposure index.
