MOD54 is one of the easiest ways to process your 4x5 sheet film. Pair it with the CineStill Df96 B&W Monobath, one of the easiest film developer to use, and you will have all you could ever need to process black and white 4x5 negatives.
The MOD54 MK27 4x5 reel is an adapter that allows you to process 6 sheets of 4x5 inch sheet film in the Paterson 3 Reel tank (model PTP116- the tank that takes 3 standard reels). The MK27 version is a total reworking of all previous models of the MOD54 4x5 reel. The new design is very robust, with ridges to help with the loading of the film.

Paterson Multi-Reel 3 Tank
![]()
Worldwide Paterson is best known for the high quality darkroom equipment it manufactures in the UK. The MOD54 MK27 reels is designed for processing in Paterson Multi-Reel 3 Tank Model PTP116.
INSTRUCTIONS
Load the sheets lining up the ridges on the sheets with the ridges on the top of the MOD54, and with the emulsion side facing inwards. One liter of chemicals is enough to fill the tank and fully immerse the sheets. Agitate as per developer instructions. When processing less than 6 sheets, we recommend placing dummy sheets in the empty inner slots. This helps regulate the flow of chemical.
